    eArocs 400

    Charged to change construction.

The eArocs 400, equipped with long-lasting lithium iron phosphate batteries (LFP), is ready for use day and night. Thanks to its all-electric drive, it is ideally suited for quiet, locally CO2‑neutral operation in urban construction traffic.

The image shows two eArocs 400 in a large hall with a concrete floor and lighting on the ceiling. The eArocs 400 on the right is a concrete mixer, while the eArocs 400 on the left is a tipper. In the background there is a large LED screen displaying an image of a construction site.
    Range

    Enough for a whole day.

With a range of up to 200 km5 as a concrete mixer and up to 240 km6 for the construction tipper, you can easily get through a full working day with the eArocs 400 – with all its challenges. No matter what you use your eArocs 400 for: you can work during the day and recharge comfortably at night.

    Route planner
    Route planner

    Cover distance.

There's more: simulate your routes with eTruck Ready, taking traffic, weather and load into account. And find out whether the range of the eArocs suits your individual requirements.

    Robustness

    Reliably strong.

Well equipped for use on construction sites: with the familiar robust components of the eArocs 400, you navigate uneven terrain with confidence. Thanks to the powerful Electric drivetrain and high ground clearance, you effortlessly meet the demands of your construction site.

The image shows a section of an eArocs 400 driving over a mound of dirt. The truck has large tires and a robust suspension, indicating that it is designed for use on construction sites.
The image shows a blue-gray Mercedes‑Benz eArocs concrete mixer standing in a hall. In the background, a simulated scene of a construction project at night with illuminated cranes and unfinished structures under a starry sky is visible on an LED wall. In front of the truck are two red-and-white striped warning beacons with yellow flashing lights.
    Operational readiness

Ready to go. Round the clock.

The battery-electric drive of the eArocs 400 is significantly quieter than conventional diesel engines. This makes it ideal for noise-sensitive environments and zero-emission zones. With at least 50 % less energy consumption compared with comparable diesel vehicles and a short charging time1, the eArocs 400 is extremely efficient and versatile.

    Multimedia Cockpit Interactive 2

    Digitally thought through.

The touchscreen of the Multimedia Cockpit Interactive 2 and the ergonomic switch panel provide reliable operation even on uneven terrain. With voice control you can activate numerous functions – without taking your hands off the steering wheel. Applications relevant to you can be accessed via the favourites menu. And with integrated navigation for eTrucks you will not only find the route that suits you, but also charging options along the route.

The image shows the interior of a modern truck cab. The focus is on the digital instrument panel with two screens, the steering wheel and the controls for functions such as navigation, entertainment and vehicle systems.
    Safety

    Attentive assistants on board.

At the construction site and on the way there: With innovative assistance systems, you are safe on the road. This way you can recognise dangers early, brake in time and keep an overview of the traffic situation.

Active Brake Assist already fulfils the AEBS (Advanced Emergency Braking System) legislation, which will come into force in September 2028. The 270°‑sensor fusion technology provides expanded environmental detection. In this way the system is able to react even faster to critical situations. As a result, greater accident prevention can be achieved for vehicles up to 90 km/h as well as for pedestrians and cyclists up to 60 km/h. The system now also clearly indicates if it is not yet fully active.

The advanced, third generation of Active Sideguard Assist can support drivers when changing lanes and turning. Its sensors monitor not only, as before, the areas on the driver and front passenger sides but also the area in front of the vehicle, and can detect oncoming road users at speeds of up to 120 km/h. This means that critical situations when turning can be mitigated not only on the passenger side but also on the driver side. In an emergency, Active Sideguard Assist 3 can initiate an automated braking intervention at up to a vehicle speed of 20 km/h.

    Video thumbnail

Frontguard Assist can increase driving safety even before you set off: it monitors the traffic area in front of the vehicle and supports you in the speed range up to 15 km/h, e.g. when the vehicle is stationary, when moving off or at junctions. If the system detects moving objects in front of the vehicle, such as people, the warning system can help you react in good time with a two-stage hazard warning.

    Video thumbnail

Attention Assist 2 can help to prevent accidents in the event of driver inattentiveness or fatigue by means of visual and acoustic warnings. Using an integrated camera, it records the driver’s visual attention based on their viewing angle as well as the driver’s level of fatigue. All data remains inside the vehicle.

    Video thumbnail

The Active Cross Traffic Assist helps you avoid collisions with fast cross traffic. Thanks to the 270°‑sensor fusion technology with camera and radar sensors on the front, corners and sides of the truck, the system can detect crossing vehicles at speeds of up to 120 km/h. When a collision is imminent, the Active Cross Traffic Assist first issues a visual and acoustic warning on the relevant side and, if necessary, simultaneously initiates partial braking. If the driver fails to react, the system can trigger automated full braking.

    1 Depending on the equipment.

2 Nominal capacity of a new battery, based on internally defined framework conditions. It may vary depending on the application and environmental conditions.

3 The range was determined under specific framework conditions based on internal simulations with an 8×4 concrete mixer with a permissible gross vehicle weight of 32 t in 8‑h concrete mixer drum operation at an outside temperature of 20 °C, and may deviate from the values determined under Regulation (EU) 2017/2400 due to numerous factors such as topography, weather conditions, speed, preconditioning, auxiliary consumers, the individual vehicle configuration and driving style.

4 The range was determined under specific framework conditions based on internal simulations with an 8×4 construction site tipper with a permissible gross vehicle weight of 32 t in 8‑h tipper operation at an outside temperature of 20 °C, and may deviate from the values determined under Regulation (EU) 2017/2400 due to numerous factors such as topography, weather conditions, speed, preconditioning, auxiliary consumers, the individual vehicle configuration and driving style.

5 The charging time is based on the framework conditions defined in ISO/SAE 12906 for heavy commercial vehicles – with 400 kW charging power at a typical DC fast-charging station with 500 A.

6 Driver assistance systems can only support drivers. Responsibility for the safe operation of the vehicle always remains fully with the driver.

7 Standard in the EU for certain vehicle configurations.

8 With optional equipment S2J, the system can prevent the deactivation of the emergency braking systems Active Brake Assist 6 Plus.
